Honda (UK) and Mugen Euro revealed the first official pictures of the CR-Z Mugen, more efficient hybrid sedan, which will make its world debut at the Goodwood Festival in July. The CR-Z hybrid turbocharger used to produce 50% more power and torque of the electric power transmission Honda petrol.
The first tests of a prototype based on a standard CR-Z and half to adapt the engine gave 0-60mph time the type of R. After a further civic increase of 15 percent over this "phase 1" of the engine and the substrate was reduced by more than 50 kg, the overall performance is set to correspond to the initial objectives of Mugen.
Version to listen to the CR-Z hybrid coupe is expected to produce approximately 200PS, and 181lb.ft of torque, with significantly improved performance throughout the rev range. The car retains the Honda IMA electric motor and the original 1.5-liter engine petrol i-VTEC, which was converted to the specification with Mugen as improved and strengthened internal components.
Besides improvements under the hood, Mugen has also developed a dynamic chassis, with 5 steps adjustable dampers front and rear, an increase in the width of the track and a significant reduction in overall weight. Brake discs and calipers larger four-pot monobloc help stop the more powerful car, while 17-inch forged aluminum Mugen GP wheels reduce the unsprung mass. Moreover, the CR-Z gets some cosmetic improvements such as body parts Mugen, including front and rear under spoilers, side skirts and a rear spoiler.
