The Toyota Highlander Hybrid is based on the popular Highlander SUV with a more environmentally friendly gas and electric hybrid engine that offers excellent fuel economy and lower emissions.
7-passenger Highlander Hybrid is available in only four-wheel drive configuration, two trim levels: Base and Limited. It employs advanced Hybrid Synergy Drive - 3.5-liter gasoline V6 with high-torque electric motor-generator - producing 280 flywheel ateh and matched electronically controlled continuously variable transmission.
The basic set is equipped with aluminum wheels 17-inch, air conditioning, satellite radio, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and streaming audio and a USB port. The Limited adds 19-inch wheels, alloy wheels, an electrically operated tailgate, electric sunroof, three-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, leather upholstery and a smart key system with start button.
Standard safety features include antilock disc brakes with brake assist, stability systems and electronic traction control, anti-whiplash active front head restraints, a monitor from the security camera, side front airbags, a knee airbag for the driver and front curtain airbags airlines. Hybrid-related components are backed by a 8-year/100, 000 mile warranty. After a minor update last year, bringing the Toyota Highlander Hybrid remains unchanged for 2012
