The BMW 3 Series Coupe is the most popular with two doors. It was also the cheapest two-door car maker before the launch of a series in North America. The Coupe received a complete overhaul for model year 2007 and now has not yet received an update and a new award new twin-turbo V6 engine.
Known internally as the BMW E92, the new model differs from its counterpart sedan with headlights and taillights completely different. Two models were first offered on the E92 in North America - the 328 and 335, but now there is a new trim level 335is, in addition to variations in the mixture and convertible. 335th is a new 3.0-liter six-cylinder twin-scroll turbochargers, High Precision Injection, and all-aluminum crankcase, pushing a car 60 mph just 5.3 seconds. The engine produces 300 hp at 5800 rpm. Peak toque is 300 pound-feet at just 1200 rpm all the way up to 5000 revolutions per minute. BMW says the new N55 engine replaces the N54 was the same move, but called for two turbochargers. The new N55 Turbo simple configuration gives the same peak power, but with a torque curve lower starting and better fuel economy and lower emissions. The 335i will join the United States for the 328i Coupe 230 horsepower, which reaches 60 mph in 6.2 seconds, making it faster than the previous top of the line 330Ci. The model offers available 328xi xDrive all-wheel drive for the first time in a BMW coupe. For those seeking even more power, the new 335 offers a bump from 300 to 320 horsepower. When compbined with the new dual-clutch transmission (DCT), which offers seven speeds, 335is is able to output a zero-60 in just five seconds. The 335is uses a turbocharged N54 3.0-liter V6 good for 332 pounds-feet of torque to go with its 330 horsepower.
The car is a double-pivot front suspension with spring struts made almost entirely of aluminum five-link rear suspension. 3-Series Coupe is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control and optional active steering - a system that adjusts the steering ratio, steering angle and the care and feeding speed of the car. In front, hip, side airbags and curtain-type Head Protection System, belt latch tensioners and belt force limiters activated by the sensor is based on the type and severity of the collision.
