Kia Motors America (KMA) will unveil the all-new 2012 Rio sedan subcompact at 2011 New York International Auto Show (April 22-May 1). With the new ISG (Start Stop) technology, first class, power and fuel economy, the new Rio offers consumers an impressive fuel economy without sacrificing power or performance, fun to drive.
The all-new 2012 Rio is powered by a 1.6-liter GDI four-cylinder with the option of a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. With GDI (gasoline direct injection) engine, offers the combination of 2012 Rio elusive consumers of power and impressive fuel efficiency, achieving first class, 135hp (100kW) of power and first-class, note the economy Fuel Highway 30/40 mpg city / (07/08 to 05/08 l/100km). Rio also offers ISG technology, the new Kia line-up, with the engine when the vehicle is not moving. The engine starts automatically when the driver releases the brake pedal, which is the lowest fuel consumption in stop-start city traffic.
In 2012, Rio sedan platform leads to a completely new - longer, wider and lower than the previous generation. Its total length is 4366mm with a platform measuring 1720mm wide and 1455mm. Available in the U.S. with a choice of three versions - LX, EX and SX is the 2012 Rio is equipped with a high level of standard safety features including six airbags, three-point seat belts for all seating positions, control Stability Control (ESC) and very much more.
